How the 30-Day Frequency Research Project reshaped Lise Leroux’s relationship to her body, her breath, and her work

Background

Lise Leroux is a senior facilitator, mindfulness instructor, writer, and Mental Health First Aid educator who has spent decades helping others navigate stress, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm. She has also spent most of her adult life living with chronic illness, chronic pain, and the psychological impact of an early, incorrect terminal diagnosis.

For years, the only way Lise could function was by separating her physical pain from her emotional life. The 30-Day Frequency Research Project offered her something she wasn’t expecting: a way to bring those worlds back together.

She joined the Institute of Quantum Frequency’s Awaken Level One program in the summer and completed the 30-Day Frequency Research Project in the fall. Through the combined impact of the course and daily tracking, she began to see with precision how she shuts down under stress, how that pattern lives in her body, and how breathing and physical alignment can steadily reduce both physical and emotional pain.

Discovering the System

First impressions from a seasoned practitioner

From their first conversation, Lise sensed that Beth was working within a multidimensional framework.

“She told me a bit about her program and I did not understand it at first,” Lise laughs. “But it sounded fascinating because it went beyond surface work. It was not just mental health support, not just yoga, not just dealing with your past. It felt like an entire way of living I had not even considered.”

What truly caught Lise’s attention was a story Beth shared about responding to a hostile comment on an online neighbourhood post. Instead of reacting emotionally, Beth was able to interpret the interaction through the lens of Codes and could see exactly which patterns were active, resulting in increased understanding.

“It was like she had merged something very right-brained and very left-brained,” Lise recalls. “Instantly, the system could show: here are the Codes that are firing. It made so much sense to me. It actually showed me a way to increase and enhance communication by understanding the basis of people’s behaviours.”

That blend of intuitive depth and structured tracking convinced Lise to enroll in Awaken Level One and eventually become the first person to go through the 30-Day Frequency Research Project.

Initial Resistance

“It felt like too much. I thought I was not smart enough.”

Although Lise teaches mindfulness and has practiced yoga for years, she entered Awaken Level One with some strong biases.

“I have always loved the stretching in yoga because of my chronic spine pain,” she says. “But I disliked the focus on breathing. I found it annoying and irrelevant. I just wanted the stretching and strengthening, not realizing that the breath is the basis of the practice.”

Early in the course, she also felt intimidated by the amount of yoga philosophy and terminology.

“It went into such depth that I started feeling really ignorant,” she admits. “I thought, I do not understand this, I will not remember it, and I do not know if it is relevant. I kept wondering what it had to do with the 84 Codes.”

However, as the course progressed and she began interacting with the Code System, the bigger picture began to come into focus.

The Turning Point

When breath meets pain

The real shift came when Lise began the tracking exercises, particularly the backbending sequence using the Dharma Wheel.

“With my chronic spinal pain, I genuinely wondered if my spine would crack in half,” she says. “I have always avoided extending backwards, for that reason. But I am used to taking risks, so I pushed forward physically and thought it was worth the risk.”

What surprised her was not the risk itself, but what the tracking revealed.

“As soon as I would hit a painful spot, I realized I completely stopped breathing,” she recalls. “The program kept redirecting me to breathe throughout. When I actually did that, the pain became more bearable, and I could move further.”

This pattern showed up consistently in her Daily Frequency Reports. Codes related to the repression of breath and stopping before moving through discomfort began appearing again and again. As she continued, she began to see exactly how her choices shaped these patterns, and that she “held her breath” in so many ways and different areas of her life, none of which helped her

“It was like having a clear mirror,” she explains. “Not ‘you are defective,’ just, ‘here is what is firing, here is where you are consistent, and here is where you can focus.’”

She also began to see her own steadiness.

“I didn’t realize I was so consistent until I saw the reports,” she says. “That surprised me in a good way. We are so used to focusing on our faults that it was unique and different to be able to see how and where I was pretty solid.”

Mental and Emotional Integration

Bringing the body back into the picture

Perhaps the biggest change for Lise was realizing how deliberately she had separated her physical and mental worlds in order to survive.

“To cope with my chronic pain, I had to ignore my body,” she explains. “I thought, just plow on. Do not think about deterioration or physical inability. That separation kept me functional.”

Seeing her breath and body responses charted in the reports gently dismantled that split.

“I cannot just forget my poor body anymore,” she says. “I have to help and support it. The program showed me how closely holding my breath during a backbend match how I approach painful situations in life.”

Now, when she reaches a difficult moment in her day, she recalls moving through the postures.

“Instead of freezing and mentally holding my breath, I imagine breathing through the situation, the way the program taught me to breathe through the posture,” she says. “That metaphor has been incredibly impactful.”

Some of the Code explanations also helped her reinterpret her past with more compassion.

“I would read something and think, ‘Yes, that is exactly why I reacted that way years ago.’ It allowed me to forgive myself for things I had not understood.”

Impact on Her Professional Work

From personal precision to professional practice

As a facilitator and practitioner, Lise found that the program naturally began to influence how she supports others.

  • When she recently taught mindfulness to anxious teenagers, she explained breath as a practical metaphor rather than a technique. When they rolled their eyes or dismissed it, she recognized her younger self and could meet them where they were.

  • In yoga sessions she attends online, she no longer tunes out during the breath cues. “I tell myself, just do it,” she says. “I understand what is actually happening now.”

  • In her mental health and workplace trainings, she has begun gently highlighting how resistance often points directly to the area where growth is possible.

She also sees potential applications in therapeutic and rehabilitation environments.

“If a practitioner goes through the full program, they can bring elements of it into their own work,” she explains. “Practitioners will have a precise map of where they personally shut down, where they project, and how to work with that.”

For Lise, this is especially important because professional helpers often struggle to find precise, personalized support.

“We go in thinking, ‘I already know this,’ or, ‘I could never understand something that complex,’” she says. “This program quietly proves both of those assumptions wrong.”

Why the Course and Tracking Belong Together

Asked whether the course and tracking could each stand alone, Lise is clear.

“The huge bonus is having them together,” she says. “The tracking is powerful, but without the physical practice and the depth behind it, I would never have understood the physical and mental alignment the way I did. The link between body and Codes is what makes it so precise.”
